I went back the very next morning to follow the blood trail to where we lost it. I took our dog a white boxer named Sadie. The area looks different in the light but this is the place where the deer ran into the woods after being shot.

The whitetail deer was shot in the late afternoon and walked and tracked well into the night. The blood trail was very good and our hope is high of getting the deer. There is a picture from a trail camera of the moment the arrow struck him.
